The novice program is ideal for novice lifters. It is a 3 days per week full body split that ensures high intensity and volume combined with ample recovery time.
The programs combine a mix of compound and isolation exercises aiming to establish a strong muscular foundation. Supersets are used in this program to add volume while keeping the workouts short and simple.
Recommended workout days: Mon/Wed/Fri, or Tues/Thurs/Sat

I'm using the Novice program from NH to return to the gym after a long break due to illness. The 3 day full body split is balanced and targets pretty much everything you'd want. I intend to run this program for 12 months, or until progress stalls, whichever happens first.

This was my first time following a bodybuilding program and it's been a great experience, I've gained a noticeable amount of muscle, eventhoug my diet can use some tuning in. I'll be continuing with it as I see I still have some room for progress

This workout is good with a hypertrophy tempo. I did 4010 on all exercises and had a better than expected muscle and strength gains. It’s weird however that there was no mention of tempo in the instructions.

If you only have three days. This is more than enough. I personally prefer four but I’m too busy at the moment. As always this coach provides the programmes you want to run.
