GZCL Program (GZCLP)
Love being able to get in and out in a hour and I love the flexibility in the accessory exercises. I’m happy with my strength gains but my muscle development seems minimal after 15 weeks
This is my first time running the program, so my baseline is being established, hence why it's not getting a five-star review.
Good so far, only week three. Might have started too low on the weight but feeling good.
Started this program after playing with a 5/3/1 for awhile. Squats and deadlift increased 10lbs each week, my legs could handle the added stress.. lower back not so much. I had to replace them with hack squats and glute bridges and now I feel a lot better. Highly recommend adding and alternating abs and forearms to complete the build.
I have fun doing this workout. I really enjoy the progression scheme, forced weight increases, frequency of workouts, and full body days. Everyone will respond differently, but personally I've made great strength gains in legs, good strength gains in chest and shoulders, and negligible gains in lats and arms.
Best of the best program...easy to stick to and make tremendous progress in a short time and thus continuous force of motivation
Read the book or blog posts! More of an ideology than a program however excellent!
The program is easy to follow and a good foundation, sometimes find that i need to add another exercise or two to truly reach my goals, however.
Got back to gym after the hospital and was looking for something similar to my previous training I could follow definitely going to run another 12 weeks of this
I had to pivot from stronglifts 5x5 to something else and landed on this. It's a little more complex than stronglifts which is very simple. But, I'm enjoying the program more I think.
